NTPC Bongaigaon, a 750 MW power station in Assam, has appointed Shri Arnab Maitra as its new Business Unit Head, effective January 4, 2025. Previously Head of Operations and Maintenance at NTPC Korba, a 2600 MW station in Chhattisgarh, Shri Maitra succeeds Shri Akhilesh Singh, who has been reassigned to NTPC CGM-OS (Director-Operations Secretariat).
With over 30 years of experience since joining NTPC as an Executive Trainee in 1989, Shri Maitra holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from REC, Durgapur. He has held key roles at NTPC power stations like Farakka, Vindhyachal, Darlipali, and Korba, contributing significantly to operational excellence. His expertise spans O&M performance, safety, efficiency, leadership, and disaster management.
In his new role, Shri Maitra will lead NTPC Bongaigaon in enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability, while continuing to serve the local community. NTPC Bongaigaon anticipates continued growth and
