Guwahati ropeway service to be launched on August 24

GUWAHATI: The long-pending Guwahati traveler ropeway venture interfacing the northern and southern banks of the Brahmaputra River will be officially introduced on August 24. 

The introduction of ropeway will be done together by state pastor of account, wellbeing and family government assistance Himanta Biswa Sarma and GDD serve Siddhartha Bhattacharya on 24th August 2020 at 11 AM. 

The trolley will take around seven minutes to take travelers over the stream from North Guwahati to Guwahati. 

The absolute length of this ropeway is 2 Km and its lodges have been imported from Switzerland. 

The lower terminal of the ropeway is at Kachari Ghat in Panbazar, while the upper terminal is at Rajadwar town behind the Dol Govinda Temple in North Guwahati.
