Prominent Indian-American Doctor Ramesh Peramsetty Tragically Killed in Alabama Shooting

Dr. Ramesh Babu Peramsetty, an Indian-origin physician, was tragically shot and killed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Friday, August 23. Originally from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Peramsetty was a prominent figure in the healthcare sector, overseeing several hospitals across the United States. He was also one of the founders and the medical director of a local network of medical professionals known as the Crimson Network, where he actively practiced as a physician.

In response to his passing, the Crimson Care Network Team released a statement requesting privacy for the Peramsetty family as they mourn their loss. "We appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love and support," the statement read. "We will continue to honor him in the manner he would have wished. Thank you for your understanding."

In another message, the Crimson Care Network urged the community to keep both the Peramsetty family and the Crimson Care Network in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They assured that further statements would be made in the coming days, and emphasized that their clinics would remain operational during the transition. Dr. Peramsetty leaves behind his wife and four children—two sons and two daughters—who all reside in the United States.
