BONGAIGAON: Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bongaigaon Refinery, Dhaligaon, in association with Bongaigaon district Administration yesterday ceremonially distributed 61 no.s of computers to the Govt. and Provincialised schools in Bongaigaon under it's Corporate Social Responsibility Fund in a programme held at Gandhi Maidan Bongaigaon. In the presence of Hon'ble Minister of Food & Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs etc.to the Govt. of Assam Sri Phani Bhushan Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner Bongaigaon Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, Chief General Manager, General Manager (HR) and Deputy General Manager(CSR) of IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery, the 61No.s of computers have been distributed to the Principals/Head Masters of 33 no.s of Government and Provincialised schools for welfare of the students. 10 no.s of computers have been distributed ceremoniously at the distribution programme held yesterday and rests are to be distributed from DC's office, Bongaigaon.
DC Bongaigaon presided over the distribution programme while Hon'ble Minister Sri. Phani Bhushan Choudhury remained present as the chief guest. Speaking on the event Hon'ble Minister Sri P. B. Choudhury praised IOCL, Bongaigaon for keeping up various contributions meant for the infrastructural development of the district and expected such contributions and cooperation in future too.He further appreciated DC Bongaigaon Dr. M.S.Lakshmi Priya for initiating various development works in the district. In the same event, in her words from the chair DC Bongaigaon asked all Principals/Head Masters to arrange one separate room for computer usage and take necessary steps for educating students through online mode too.Chief General Manager of IOCL , Bongaigaon Sri Siddhartha Pratim Baruah said that IOCL, Bongaigaon will continue this type of contribution in future too for the betterment of the society and distribution of computers is one of the various projects to be taken up by IOCL in Bongaigaon.
The objective of this ceremonial distribution programme was laid by ADC Pankaj Chamuah and the programme was attended by the Assistant Commissioners, Principals/Head Masters of various schools and other concerned officers and staff.
