IOCL, Bongaigaon Signed MoU with District Administration : Drinking Water Project to Set Up Soon

BONGAIGAON: A Memorandum of Understandaing between Bongaigaon District Administration and Bongaigaon Refinery, Indian Oil Corporation Limited was signed recently. On behalf of Bongaigaon District Administration Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, DC Bongaigaon and from Bongaigaon Refinery, IOCL, Sita Baruah, Deputy General Manager, CC & CSR signed a MoU on 6th November, 2020 in the morning at 11 A.M.in the office chamber of DC Bongaigaon. According to the MoU, IOCL Bongaigaon will provide financial assistance for setting up a drinking water project at Garopara village under Bongaigaon Revenue Circle.The estimated cost of the project is 26 lacs. Bongaigaon Refinery, IOCL will be offering this assistance for enhancing drinking water facilities under it's Corporate Social Responsibility endeavour.It is noteworthy that IOCL, Bongaigaon Refinery, Dhaligaon has earlier too signed various MoUs for contributing to the development of the community under CSR.Concretization of storm water drain in village Barpathar with an estimated cost of 80.87 lacs, installation of sound system and providing furniture at Birjhora Public Library, Bongaigaon with an estimated cost of 19 lacs, construction of separate toilet block and dinning hall at Birjhora Girls' High School, Bongaigaon with an estimated cost of 40.00 lacs, construction of new library building at Birjhora Kanya Mahabidyalaya, Bongaigaon with an estimated cost of 25 lacs, sitting g arrangement with carpeted floor in Rabindra Bhawan Cultural Auditorium at Bongaigaon with an estimated cost of 38.1lacs and setting up of additional 1000 no.s of standalone solar street light system in Bongaigaon district with an estimated cost of 27 lacs are such earlier joint ventures of Bongaigaon District Administration and IOCL, Bongaigaon Refinery.

The new joint venture that has started yesterday between Bongaigaon District Administration and IOCL, Bongaigaon Refinery i.e.the new MoU signed between public and private sector is too expected to play an important role in speeding up all round development of the society.
