GUWAHATI: There is no possibility to conduct Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections till November 30 due to COVID-19 pandemic, said Assam heath and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday.
“The health department has already clarified that there is no environment to conduct elections till November 30. We can’t take so much risk,” Dr. Sarma said.
He stated that Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will chair an all-party meeting to discuss the issue.
