BONGAIGAON : Transport workers' federation stages demonstration

BONGAIGAON: on the side of a few demands, the All India Road Transport Workers' Federation organized exhibition on Wednesday at Bongaigaon before the District Transport Office. 

Their requests included halting petroleum diesel value climb, giving alleviation of Rs 7,500 to ship laborers for a long time and nullifying the new MVI Act, 2019. Conversing with media people, Hareswar Das, Assam State working leader of the organization, said that the state of transport laborers was exceptionally woeful. "They don't have pay to take care of their families. The legislature requested them to convey travelers at half limit yet the passages continued as before. The costs of diesel and petroleum keep on expanding. This is foul play. In what capacity will they endure? So we request that the value climb of petroleum and diesel must be controlled and help must be given to move laborers during the pandemic," he said. He included that the new change of MVI Act was unlawful and ought to be abrogated. In such manner, the league presented a reminder to the State Transport Minister.
