Maiden Koch Rajbongshi Museum to set up at Bongaigaon : Assam Govt.

GUWAHATI: For the first time, the Assam government is going to construct a museum exclusively for the Koch Rajbongshi community. The museum will be established in Bongaigaon and will be build by the Assam PWD (recently renamed as LokNirmanBibhag).

According to reports, the tender has already been floated. The project will be constructed under the City Infra Development Fund at a cost of around Rs 1.60 crore. The museum will reflect the culture and heritage of the Koch Rajbongshi community. It will also include notable works from Koch Rajbongshi literature, historic photos and items depicting the detailed history of the community.

Perhaps, it is a good news for the Koch Rajbongshi people and Bongaigaon. But there is other some projects which were allotted and also laid foundation in Bongaigaon which have not been implemented e.g After Naranarayan Kalakshetra for which land has been alloted in Chaprakata area and also an Engineering College which foundation was laid 3 years back by CM Sarbananda Sonowal is also seems no progress.
